🚨 SEARCH AND RESCUE UNDERWAY – COMMUNITY ASSISTANCE REQUESTED 🚨

The Columbus County Sheriff’s Office is actively conducting a search and rescue operation for 15-year-old Jettie Edwards, who has autism.

Jettie was last seen around 9:00 p.m. wearing a pink sweatshirt, blue jeans, and tan Hey Dudes. She left on foot and was last seen heading toward the wooded area near her residence in the 9000 block of Hallsboro Road South.

At the request of Sheriff Bill Rogers, multiple agencies are assisting in this search. The Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office is en route with a helicopter, and our man-tracking team, along with partnering agencies, is currently searching the area using three drones.

Due to freezing temperatures tonight, time is critical.

We are asking our community for help in bringing Jettie home safely. If you see Jettie or have any information that could assist in locating her, please contact Columbus County Dispatch immediately at 911 or our non-emergency number.
