Columbus County government said in a press release Tuesday that a boil water advisory has been put in place for customers from 1393 Chadbourn Highway to 2350 Chadbourn Highway and Fruit Ridge Road.

“Due to the repair of the water main line break, the flow of water will be reversed throughout the system and customers may experience water quality issues such as discolored water,” says the press release.

The county is monitoring any issues and expect the system to be clear within the next 24 hours.
