Columbus County Sheriff’s Office reports that a ‘father-son dispute’ led to a stabbing in Fair bluff.

From CCSO: On January 26, 2025, at approximately 9:15 am, Deputies of the Columbus County Sheriff’s Office Charlie Patrol Squad were dispatched to 2100 block of Main Street in Fair Bluff in reference to a reported stabbing.

Upon arrival, deputies from the Charlie Patrol Squad swiftly secured the situation and ensured that the victim received immediate medical attention. Their prompt response and initial investigation laid a critical foundation for the case. Once the Criminal Investigation Division assumed control, detectives worked diligently to gather evidence, which included obtaining the weapon used in the assault.

Thanks to the thorough efforts of the patrol divisions, detectives were able to quickly file charges against the suspect, identified as James Earl Bostic of Fair Bluff. Mr. Bostic was arrested and charged with Assault with a Deadly Weapon Inflicting Serious Injury (AWDWIKISI). He is currently being held without bond at the Columbus County Detention Center. The victim, who is still recovering, is expected to make a full recovery. The case has been closed and cleared by arrest.
