Marty Davene Soles has been sentenced to life without parole in the 2020 murder of Tony Clayborn.

On March 2, 2020, a witness saw Soles open fire on Clayborn on Pine Circle Road in Tabor City. Cell phone records that were obtained in coordination with the FBI place him there at the time of the murder, he was then apprehended by U.S. Marshals.
