The Columbus County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after shots were fired into the home of former Columbus County Sheriff Lewis Hatcher.

According to the incident report, deputies responded to Hatcher’s home on Pridgen Acres Dr in Clarkton around 6:40pm on November 7th.

Multiple bullet holes and shell casings were found on the property. Camera footage claims to show a suspect in the yard wearing dark clothing around the time of the incident.
