COMMUNITY SOAPBOX: What’s your thoughts?
County Commissioners are to discuss restrictions on Vape Shops at their Monday board meeting. Do you think the county should implement tighter restrictions on these businesses?
The proposal that the county will vote on Monday calls for these shops that sell tobacco, kratom, and hemp to be at least 1,000 feet away from any schools, childcare centers, rehab facilities, parks, or other shops that sell the same products. These ordinances will only apply to unincorporated areas of the county.
The community will be able to provide input at the meeting. It takes place Monday, November 4th at the Columbus County Commissioners Chambers located at 127 W Webster Street in Whiteville.
