A forum will be held September 26th for school board candidates for Columbus County Schools and Whiteville City Schools.

Commissioner Jason Elleby said in a Facebook post: “All candidates for Columbus County Schools and Whiteville City schools were invited to serve on the panel for this event. Moderator is Jon Evans of WECT. Come learn about the school board candidates and enjoy light refreshments. Event is sponsored by non-partisan groups such as the Columbus Chapter of the NAACP, Columbus County Forum and Columbus County Honors.”

The forum will be held at The Ultimate Venues at 6 PM on Thursday, September 26th. The event will be moderated by Jon Evans of WECT News, who has done prior school board forums in the county. The event is sponsored by the Columbus County NAACP, Columbus County Forum, and Columbus County Honors.
