The Waccamaw Siouan Tribe announced Thursday they would hold an event on October 12th to unveil a new highway marker showcasing history of the tribe.

“Please make plans to join the Waccamaw Siouan Chief, Tribal Council and Staff in the unveiling of our NC Historic Highway Marker.  We will hold the unveiling ceremony at the Tribal Center at 10:00am on October 12, 2024 followed by a reception.

Lets make this a huge event for our Tribe and show everyone how proud we are to be called Waccamaw Siouan Indians!”
