The Columbus County Board of Education announced Monday during its September board meeting that it had settled a lawsuit with former East Columbus Jr./Sr. High School principal Dr. Kenneth Bowen for the amount of $44,845.07.

Bowen resigned on August 16th after being in the position for just one year, Bowen filed the lawsuit the same day according to Superintendent Eddie Beck. During the meeting, Beck said: “the dispute between the CCBOE and Dr. Kenneth Bowen has been settled by the parties.”
