Fugitive Apprehended by Narcotics Detectives

Via CCSO: Columbus County, NC – On Wednesday, August 7, 2024, the Columbus County Sheriff’s Office, in collaboration with the Horry County Sheriff’s Office and the Loris Police Department, successfully apprehended Feleshia Ann Goodman, who was involved in a shooting incident earlier that day in Loris, South Carolina. Loris Police Department issued a Be-On-The-Lookout (BOLO) for a vehicle belonging to Ms. Goodman, believed to be connected to the shooting. The BOLO was circulated after the incident, which occurred just an hour and a half prior.

While assessing road conditions in Tabor City due to the ongoing storm, our Special Operations Narcotics Detectives located the vehicle and Ms. Goodman. Thanks to their swift action and attention to detail, Ms. Goodman was taken into custody. Ms. Goodman was transported to the Columbus County Detention Center, where she was charged with a warrant for Extradition/Fugitive from Another State. She is currently being held under a $2,000,000 secured bond and is awaiting trial.

Sheriff Bill Rogers praised the efforts of all involved agencies, stating, “The quick coordination between our team and the Loris Police Department was crucial in ensuring that this suspect was apprehended quickly and safely. Our narcotics detectives’ ability to adapt during the storm and focus on public safety demonstrates the dedication and professionalism of our department.”
