Flooding Continues in Fair Bluff; CCSO Warns

Sheriff Bill Rogers on Flooding in Fair Bluff

On Friday morning Columbus County Sheriff Bill Rogers addressed the county from Fair Bluff where water continues to rise even after Debby has moved out of the area.

The Lumber River is known for “Extensive Flooding” as put by the National Weather Service, and will continue to bring flood waters into the town through the weekend.

Residents are advised to stay off flooded roads, Rogers stresses the importance of the phrase “Turn around, don’t drown”.
