In a press conference Monday, Representative Brenden Jones and State Superintendent Catherine Truitt announced today that Columbus County qualified for a $52 million grant to build a new school for the east end of the county to serve k-8 students.

This will consolidate students from Acme Delco Elementary, and Hallsboro Artesia Elementary.
