Columbus County Schools:
Due to the expected severe weather arriving in the next 48 hours, Columbus County Schools will move to remote instruction for Thursday, August 31st, and Friday, September 1st. Students will receive guidance on learning activities during class on August 30th, and teachers will be available during the school day on Thursday to assist students. It is very important that students complete assignments and engage in the learning process during this time. Technical support will be available on the Columbus County Schools website for any student having difficulty with technology.
Please note that Pre-K and Kindergarten students will receive instructions from their teacher if they have not yet received devices.
We will be on a regular schedule on Wednesday, but there will be no athletic games or travel activities after school. Practices may still be held if it is safe to do so.
Decisions about schedule changes on Friday will be made as the storm progresses. Please continue to monitor our CCS Connect App, Facebook pages and other social media, our website, and local news media for updated information.
